Come See and Taste The Beauty of Samoa with Chef John

About

MY BEAUTIFUL SAMOA

I am a local Chef and now also Tour Guide who would love to share the beauty of Samoa with you. I have a passion for food and believe we have some of the best and most tasty local produce the world has to offer. We also have some of the most stunning sites and landscape to see and with both of these combined, you are in store for one amazing experience!

We will take a walk through the local fresh food markets where I will introduce you to some of our local produce.  You can choose what you would like for me to cook up for you fresh on the spot while you either bask in the sun, relax in a traditional fale or swim in one of the many amazing water spots here in Samoa.

Chef John Tours Samoa will give you a unique tour experience not offered anywhere else on the island.

EVENTS IN SAMOA

Although we are a small and humble island we are still well known for some of our annual events run here in Samoa that also showcase our culture and it's beauty.

These are just some of our events.

Maybe these are your next travel dates. So what are you waiting for :-)

Some great annual events we have here in Samoa

1st Week of September

TEUILA FESTIVAL

Since it was established in 1991, Samoa’s Teuila Festival has grown to become one of Samoa’s most celebrated annual events, and one of the South Pacific’s biggest cultural festivals. The exciting variety for 2015 ensures there is something for everyone with activities including the choral exhibition, traditional Siva Samoa and contemporary dance competitions, Ailao Afi/Fire Knife dancing, Umu (Samoan ground oven), tattooing and carving demonstrations, McDoanld’s Miss Samoa Pageant and much, much more.

ALO PAOPAO FESTIVAL

The Alopaopao Festival Trust, a non profit organisation, oversees the strategy & coordination of the Alopaopao International Festival and the Paddling Season Regattas. The Trust and implementation of these activities are also supported by the Nafanua Paddling Club, based in Apia.

Inspired by the World Sprints event held in Samoa in 1994, Alo Paopao Festival was created as a means of celebrating Samoa’s rich culture of paddling and to invite the rest of the world to join us.

The first Alo Paopao Festival took place in 2012, in Apia and this will be its 4th years running!
Before the festival, there were only two races held per year in Samoa. Its success led the organizers to establish it as an annual season, increasing the number of regattas per year. The year long season, exposes our local paddlers to competitive racing as well as opening our waters to the rest of the world, all year around.
